Everything You Need To Know About Microblading

Eyebrows are the frame to your face, but if you are someone who struggles to keep your eyebrows always in shape, then you might want to consider microblading.

What Is Microblading?

Microblading is an almost permanent technique for filling in your eyebrows. Since your eyebrows are mostly the same all year round, this semi-permanent technique has become a growing trend for a lot of women.

What You Should Know About Microblading?

Here are some things you should know about microblading and how it is effective.

1. It Is Similar to A Tattoo Procedure

Microblading is also known as “tattooing your eyebrows” but there is a small difference between the two. Traditional tattoo uses a needle which injects pigment deep in your skin, so it stays there forever. In microblading, however, the needle is used to inject pigment on the upper most layer of the skin, so, it is semi-permanent, since the upper layer of skin fluffs off after some time, after about 2 to 3 weeks. Also, in microblading, the specialist uses several small needles to work on the eyebrow to make hair-like strokes, which look more natural and filled in, rather than a single needle making many strokes. Using more than one needle, also helps to make the process faster.

2. Microblading Is Not One Size Fits All

Not everyone likes the same shaped eyebrows for a long time. A lot of people might get bored of the same shaped eyebrows for weeks on end. For someone who wants their eyebrows to look the same, microblading is an excellent option which saves you a lot of time.

3. Your Hair Growth Doesn’t Stop

Microblading doesn’t inhibit hair growth at all. Just like a traditional tattoo, microblading just stains the upper layer of the skin and stays there for 2 to 4 weeks. But that doesn’t mean that your eyebrow hairs stop growing. They will continue to grow so there is nothing for you to be worried about. After the microblading fades away, you can see for yourself that your hair also grows during that time.
