RESORT READY – Spring Resort Trends
You’ve got the highlights, your mani/pedi is on point, and of course you are packing your aesthetician recommended sunscreen. Now all you need is a thoughtfully packed suitcase with Spring 2019’s hottest look to be on point for your Spring Break getaway. So what are the must have looks?
Something Floral
From tiny to bold blossoms are blooming on everything thing from maxi dresses to bathing suits. Here are some easy looks to show Spring has sprung into your wardrobe. Keep accessories neutral with low key tan sandals with a bold dress or try a linen beach pant as a coverup to your floral swimsuit to keep the look from feeling too overwhelming. Still not sure about floral all-over? Try just a hint in this neutral flip-flop back to basics like navy and white.
The Wild Side
Florals feeling too feminine for you? Don’t worry as animal prints are still abundant for Spring 2019. Lighten up the traditional leopard and cheetah prints by going with softer color versions and more delicate patterns like these lightweight cropped wide legs. Or pair a top back to white denim or shorts and you have an instantly chic look. And a simple printed espadrille mule is the perfect solution for airport travel to slip on and off (and they are under $25!!!!)
Pop of Color
And if prints just aren’t your thing? That’s okay because there are bright shades of sunshine, coral (aka the color of the year), and pale blush and to keep you covered from head to toe. These shades look great with a tan, brown or gold leather sandal to set off their warm tones. Pair with a simple gold hoop earring or one of the fun styles of oversize earrings (see below) that have the ability to change the whole look of an outfit instantly.
It’s All About The Earrings
Thankfully lightweight, these playful additions are sure to work with a white t-shirt and jeans to a cocktail party dress. There are no rules with these fun additions so don’t be afraid to put them on with your swimsuit and a sarong while you sip a cocktail on the beach!
Tie It All Together…
No matter what trends you take, make sure to pack with a plan. Set a color theme of 3-4 colors (white, denim, black and red for example) and build your outfits around that color story. Make sure each item can multi-task and work as a layer under or over and can be dressed up or down. Try to limit shoes to the same color but in a different level of heel height or casual to dressy, this way you have a match for each outfit but can change the style of the outfit to meet your mood during your vacation. Most importantly? Shut down the phone and make memories. Enjoy!
