Meet Randy Currie
With over 43 years of experience as a stylist and entrepreneur, Randy Currie has developed an exceptional reputation as a visionary leader in the beauty industry as the driving force behind the brand: Currie Hair, Skin and Nails. Randy’s career began working alongside the legendary Vidal Sassoon in London and progressed to stints at Sassoon in Canada, Rita Rusk in Glasgow, Scotland, as well as locations in New York. His own salon, the wildly successful Currie Hair, Skin and Nails was established in 1990. Randy was responsible for taking this single salon with 10 chairs, to 5 locations and over 180 team members. In his role as director, he has oversight responsibilities of all aspects of the salons from customer service, staffing, education and brand management, media relations and planning.
Randy has received consistent recognition by prominent national publications and news programs such as Harper’s Bazaar, W magazine, Redbook, and NBC’s Life Moments. In 2004, Randy was recognized with the ultimate accolade by the international beauty industry: United States winner of the 2004 Salon Entrepreneur of the Year® Award, Multi-Unit. In 2006, he traveled to Barcelona, Spain where history repeated itself, and, judged by a prestigious panel of beauty industry insiders and business experts, Currie Hair Skin and Nails was once again recognized as the most innovative salon in the United States.
Randy has had remarkable success in business, generally, and particularly in mentoring newly licensed service providers in growth and development of their techniques. He continues to expand the company’s offerings into other markets, constantly focusing on perfecting the guest experience and expanding the technical abilities of his team through top-rate education. Randy has a proven track record of challenging the status quo and applying new thinking in the traditional way salons are operated. His expertise has proved critical in the rapid growth of the brand. With the 2014 launch of Carrello Beauty Products, an all-natural and organic line produced in Italy, the company continues to revolutionize business-commerce and bridge the gap between consumers and highly functioning all-natural technology that Currie guests are delighted to use.
